The Birth of Gavi Sauce
"In April of 2023, I sketched out a sauce to complement a restaurant concept in Fountain Square. With a deep desire to add to the Indianapolis Renaissance, further development took a pause to focus on learning about the hospitality business.
Top of September, my brother passed from diabetes and it rocked my world. In the weeks that followed, I found cooking to be therapeutic. So much so, healing evolved into a love for taking whatever was in the kitchen and making something delicious.
In late December, passion drove me to revisit the sauce idea. After 72 hours of iterations, I got the recipe for Indianapolis’ own sauce. Then shared a spoonful with my ol’ lady while she was on the phone and her response was confirmation that I found another gem to cherish."
